German Potato Soup
8 slices bacon, cooked
1/4 cup celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 cup chopped potatoes
2 1/2 cups water
Seasoning:
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Simmer all the above ingredients 15 minutes. (potatoes will have absorbed
most of the liquid), semi-mash solids. Add 1 cup milk,
1/4 cup chopped parsley, dash of worcheshire sauce.
