Kringles
- 2 cups flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 tbsp. water
- egg & sugar for topping
Combine flour & hard butter, using
hands. Add water alittle at a time. Roll out dough & cut
into1/4" or less. Put cookies on paper in refrigerator.
Beat an egg. Using finger, dip in egg & put on cookies. Then
turn cookies upside down in sugar. Grease cookie sheet. Bake
at 400 degrees 7- 8 minutes. Must be watched closely while baking.
They can burn easily. Makes 5-6 dozen cookies.
This recipe is an old family favorite.
They have a delicious buttery pastry taste. My husband's sister
always includes them in her Christmas cookie assortment, and
they disappear very quickly!
