JoAnn's Broccoli Casserole
- 20 oz. broccoli (frozen), cooked and drained
- 2 cups frozen whole onions or 3 medium onions, quartered,
cooked and drained (optional)
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1cup milk
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs (soft)
In saucepan melt 2 tbsp. butter, blend in 2 tbsp. flour, salt
& pepper, Add 1 cup milk, cook & stir until bubbly. Reduce
heat, blend in cream cheese until smooth. Place vegetables in
1 1/2 qt. casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce on top, mix lightly.
Top with cheddar cheese. Melt 2 tbsp. butter, mix in bread crumbs.
Sprinkle on top of casserole.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, or until bubbly.
