TANTE MARLENE'S THREE BEAN SALAD
Marinade:
- 3/4 cup white distilled vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- salt & pepper to taste
Add:
- 2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans cut green beans
- 1 (20 oz.) can red kidney beans
- 1 (15 1/2 oz) can cut wax beans
- 1 large onion, sliced finely
Drain liquid from beans and rinse in colander until water
runs clear, add to remaining ingredients, mix well, let stand
covered in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Optional:
2 tbsp. of salad oil added just before serving, mixing well.
